Providing art, creative and wellness sessions for various health & community groups; including people diagnosed with Long Covid, CFS or ME.

re-stART Creative is a not-for-profit, Community Interest Company (CIC) operating in Leeds and West Yorkshire.

We are currently developing a wide range of creative and wellbeing services to support chronically ill, disabled and/or socially isolated members of our communities.

re-stART Creative Outreach CIC delivers art and creative course for people who are affected by energy limiting chronic conditions, such as Long Covid/ M.E. /CFS. We have been building our community locally in Leeds over the past 3 years by delivering virtual wellbeing, art & poetry programs to small groups of participants over courses that last 8-10 weeks; including our flagship 'Beginners Sketchbook Course' and "Painting with Poetry Course'. To sustain the impact for our participants, we then provide regular open sessions once a fortnight. Initially, we named this 'The Leeds Long Covid Project', although we soon extended the criteria to cover M.E. and CFS.

 

We are proud to work with several artists, poets, wellbeing,breathwork and yoga specialists to provide a wide range of activities for our participants. We are keen to grow and diversify our service offer to support other health groups that require paced and relaxing sessions, as a means to increase their overall wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
